Hitachi's DS14DFL utilizes new Lithium Ion technology in their new compact drill which helps it to have a lighter and more compact design. This drill can fit into spaces that were before only the domain of hand screwdrivers and weighing only 3.5 pounds you can work twice as long before you tire.
Comes with two (2) 1.5Ah 14-volt batteries which can be charged and recharged approximately 1,500 times (as opposed to 500 times with traditional batteries) which saves you money in the long run Lithium ion batteries reduce the overall weight of the drill making it significantly lighter and causes less user fatigue The New Lithium Ion Batteries are backwards compatible to Hitachi's other 14V DMR, DVF3 and DL line of tools so they can operate any of those tools so you don't have to buy a new line of tools to utilize the new technology Lithium Ion batteries maintain a steady charge from the start of the job to the finish of your job ensuring full power during use The compact size and lightweight design reduces end user fatigue and fits easily into tight or overhead spaces The two-piece magnetic motor produces 274 in/lbs of torque which helps you power through even the toughest jobs The 3/8" key less chuck allows for quick and easy bit changes The two-speed transmission is controlled by a one-touch knob which allows for a choice between 0-400 or 0-1200 RPM usage The built in belt hook integrates a bit holder which saves time and offers added convenience The 22-stage clutch ensures high torque and/or precision driving The soft, non-slip elastomer grip helps increase user comfort and safety when using this drill
